September 13, 2012
Brazil has signed the International agreement to support “sustainable tourism” by launching the "Green Passport" campaign which is a voluntary initiative led by the French government. Their aim is to promote sustainability and sustainable tourism development. The campaign is targeted on motivating tourists to take responsibility in order to maintain quality of life and to preserve the environment. After the launch of the campaign, Brazil developed the website "Passaporte Verde" for tourists. The website represents a source of information in relation to responsible travel and behavioral recommendations.
