The colorfulness of Brazil impresses visitors on a Brazil trip not only above water, but also in the colorful, species-rich underwater world.
At countless places, you can already admire the many fish and corals while snorkeling and see rays and sea turtles. If that is not enough and you want to be right in the middle of it, there is the possibility of Batismo dives. These are diving tours for which no diving license or diving course is required, but which nevertheless gives a unique insight into the depths. As the term Batismo (English baptism) already says, this introduces participants to the world of diving.

Diving for everyone - safety is the top priority

In constant company of a professional diving instructor and with the necessary equipment almost everybody can participate in a Batismo dive. It is important to be in good health. After a safety training and an introduction to the use of the equipment - including mask, fins, balance vest, regulator, ballast belt, compressed air bottle and, depending on the water temperature, a wetsuit - you can start. During the dive, the participant is accompanied by an instructor throughout the whole dive and is not let out of sight.

Brazil's underwater world attracts divers from all over the world

The internationally most famous diving area of Brazil is located in the Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park. The Atlantic island focuses on sustainable tourism and was declared a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site because of its richness of species. The warm, clear water and the well-protected diving areas around the archipelago attract divers from all over the world.
Other places and destinations for underwater sports are located along the Brazilian northeast coast such as Recife, Natal, Porto de Galinhas, and Maragogi. In the states of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro, the most famous diving areas are around Ilhabela, Arraial do Cabo, Ilha Grande and Paraty, which are especially popular with advanced divers because of the many wrecks.
Experiencing the unique underwater world of Brazil does not remain the privilege of professional divers thanks to a Batismo dive. It can enrich every Brazil vacation with unique nature experience. Often the fascination of underwater sports spills over into everyday life and diving is later on an integral part of life. Therefore the diving schools usually offer advanced courses for a diving license.
