Brazil Travel Packages: Brasilia
Brasilia, with 2.6 million inhabitants and composing an area of 2,247 square miles (5,822 square kilometers) is both the capital of the country and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This modern-day metropolis was designed by the world-renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer and was created from scratch on cleared jungle ground. The futuristic architecture alone makes a detour worthwhile. Particularly, it is the many modern and representative buildings that make up the charm of Brazil: the National Congress, the television tower, the cultural complex and the official residence of the president, to name but a few. Also well-known are the excellent infrastructural functionality and the wide streets. The heart of the city beats around the monumental axis with two eight-lane traffic routes. Don't miss the opportunity to view the metropolis on your vacation in Brazil from the television tower from above. The Juscelino Kubitschek Bridge, which has already won architecture awards, is also remarkable. When the sun has set and night falls, the bridge is illuminated and creates a romantic atmosphere. Brasilia is exposed to quite constant climatic conditions. The daily temperature low between October and April is 63 °F to 64 °F (17 °C to 18 °C), while the temperature high is from 79 °F to 82 °F (26 °C to 28 °C). This is also the time when most precipitation falls. In the low-precipitation period from May to September, daily high temperatures reach an average of 84 °F (29 °C). You will therefore find good conditions for a trip year round.
