On our river cruises, you can experience the beautiful Amazon region with its diverse animal and plant life. You can choose from three different routes: Rio Negro, Rio Amazonas (Rio Solimoes), or both. Each cruise offers different exciting excursions, such as boat expeditions, nature hikes, or visits to local communities. Another highlight is wildlife observation. With luck, you might be able to spot monkeys, dolphins, sloths, otters, caimans, and a wide variety of birds.

Amazon Clipper River Cruises
On all these cruises, you will visit the place where Rio Negro and Rio Solimoes meet to form Rio Amazonas. This meeting is truly spectacular: the different colored water masses flow side by side without mixing, creating a stunning visual effect. You will also go on several excursions into the Amazon Rainforest, some by boat and others on foot, and you will have the opportunity to go out in a canoe to explore the narrow river tributaries and flooded forests. The shallow draft of the excursion boats allows you to visit areas that are otherwise inaccessible. On this adventurous trip, you will experience the unique ecology of the Amazon and gain an insight into the culture and daily lives of its people.
The Boats
All cruises offer a choice of two comfort categories:
The traditional fleet comprises several boats with basic comfort and amenities such as air-conditioned cabins with en-suite WC and a cold water shower, a sundeck with 360-degree panoramic views, a covered bar and restaurant, and a small library.
The premium fleet offers all the comfort of a luxury ship. The boats accommodate all guests in spacious outside cabins with double or single beds, an en-suite bathroom with hot water shower, individually adjustable air conditioning, and a safe. The large, air-conditioned dining room comfortably seats all guests. The premium fleet also offers an entertainment deck with a library and TV/DVD player, a bar with comfortable seating, and a large covered area for outdoor sightseeing.
Both categories were especially developed for cruises on the rivers of the Amazon Rainforest.
Catering
On both fleets, the buffet restaurants provide freshly prepared meals according to international standards, always including vegetarian options.
The boats' kitchens are fully equipped with freezer compartments, filter systems, and plentiful supplies of mineral water to ensure the hygiene and freshness of the food for the duration of the cruise.
