Our expedition cruises on the motor yacht Tucano provide a unique insight into the breathtaking flora and fauna of the gigantic Amazon Rainforest. Our two packages of 5 or 7 days allow you to experience the wonderful Anavilhanas Archipelago and Rio Negro, north of Manaus. During daily small-group expeditions with an experienced English-speaking guide, you will explore Amazon, for example, on canoe tours, piranha fishing trips, rainforest walks, and visits to small Amazon villages.

Amazon Experience
On this cruise, travelers will have the chance to discover the amazing Amazon Rainforest up close and get to know its fascinating flora and fauna. Although we of course cannot guarantee wild animal sightings, there is a strong possibility of spotting monkeys, dolphins, caimans, sloths and a huge variety of birds.
The daily excursions are led by dedicated English-speaking guides on smaller motorboats (launches) or self-paddle kayaks. You will also be able to enjoy nature hikes and visits to Amazon villages on foot.
Adventure or Leisure Excursions: We are frequently able to offer the choice between a leisurely expedition pace, focused on the fascinating details of Amazon flora and fauna, and an adventurous expedition with deep rainforest hikes and kayak explorations.
Decks and Cabins
The motor yacht Tucano boasts a sundeck, a covered terrace, and an air-conditioned salon where meals are also served. The restaurant serves local cuisine with vegetarian options and traditional fish dishes.
The expedition boat's three decks offer three different room categories. On the upper observation deck, there is one Yellow Stateroom. This cabin has a double and a single bed to accommodate three guests. The upper stateroom is slightly more spacious than the other rooms of the same category, but the en-suite bathroom is smaller than on the other decks.
On the middle deck and the main deck there are four more Yellow Stateroom cabins, each with two single beds. In addition, these decks house two Blue Stateroom cabins, which are designed as singles, but can be equipped with a double bed upon request.
Finally, there are two Green Stateroom cabins with bunk beds. These are slightly smaller than the other cabins but still comfortable. All the Tucano's cabins have large windows, private bathrooms, and air-conditioning.
The ship can accommodate a total of 18 guests in double occupancy.
In addition, there are several 127-volt two-blade outlets distributed around each cabin. Electricity on board is available for 20 hours per day, including overnight for you to use the air conditioning and recharge batteries. Electricity is provided by a smoothly running generator, which is slightly audible in some cabins. For the other 4 hours per day, while passengers are usually off on excursions, the ship operates entirely on solar power.
Catering
In the restaurant, guests can expect freshly prepared meals according to international standards. Vegetarian options are always part of the carefully prepared buffet. The galley is fully equipped with freezers, filter systems, and plentiful supplies of mineral water to ensure top-notch hygiene and fresh food throughout the entire trip.

- The motor yacht Tucano offers regular departures. Please ask us for available dates.
- The Amazon region can be visited all year round. However, it should be noted that the water level between October and December can be so low that the river's smaller tributaries cannot be navigated.
- The itinerary can be adjusted according to weather conditions. The order of excursions may change and animal sightings cannot be guaranteed.
