In the morning you will be picked up by your transfer to the Juma Amazon Lodge. The journey to the lodge will be your first adventure. You will cross the “Meeting of the Waters”, you will see giant water lilies (seasonal), and you will gain first impressions of the Amazon Rainforest. Following your arrival to the lodge you will be welcomed with a tropical drink and lunch in the restaurant. The first excursion is scheduled for after lunch. In a canoe you will follow your English-speaking guide through the river systems for a first closer encounter with the Amazon. During this tour you might be able to spot pink dolphins and your guide will also encourage you to go on a refreshing swim. At night another excursion will take place. On a night safari your guide will try to find and show you caimans and other nocturnal animals.

Your day will start early with an excursion. At sunrise you will observe the interesting color changes in the sky and, with the help of your specially trained guide, you can watch the different birds and listen to their songs and twitters. Back at the lodge you will have a rich breakfast with lots of fruits and typical food of the region. On the following walk through the Amazon Rainforest, your guide will give you information about survival techniques and the use of local fauna as food and medicine.

In the afternoon you will go fishing for piranhas and other fish. At sunset the group will return to the lodge and enjoy dinner. Afterwards, one of the local guides will tell you about their life and explain some customs and legends of the native "Ribeirinhos."

After breakfast you will go on another nature hike in the surrounding area to learn more about the flora and fauna. Today's lunch will be prepared over an open fire and will be served as a picnic in open nature. Later you will have some time to relax in a hammock before the group visits a house of the local "Caboclos Ribeirinhos." The hosts will give a lot of information about the use of plants as medicine and show us how cassava flour is produced, the main economic activity of the region. We will also have the opportunity to observe the extraction of liquid from a rubber tree (the rubber tree was responsible for the wealth of Manaus in the 19th century). For dinner we will return to the lodge.

After a rich breakfast you will visit the largest tree species of the Amazon: the sumauma. This is both the tallest tree, reaching up to 130 feet (40 meters), and the thickest. In the afternoon you will enjoy lunch before learning about the unique infrastructure and architecture of the lodge, which is built completely upon stilts.

After dinner you will go on a jungle night walk. Equipped with flashlights, it is really exciting to observe the life of insects living on the ground while listening to the sounds of the dark jungle.

After breakfast you will have the whole morning free to explore the surrounding area further or to just relax in the lodge. After lunch you will go on a climbing excursion in the trees of the rainforest, accompanied by specially trained guides. From the high trees you will have a completely different view of the forest and experience unique moments. For dinner you will return to the lodge before setting up hammocks for the night in the immediate vicinity. Sleeping in the rainforest is a very special experience due to the sounds of nocturnal animals.

In the morning you will wake up in your hammock to the natural sound of the Amazon Rainforest. After returning to the lodge you can enjoy the comfort of your bungalow before breakfast.

Then, during the return trip to Manaus, a final small experience is planned. On a floating dock you will be able to observe the big pirarucu or arapaima fish which can reach up to 9.8 feet (3 meters) and 440 lbs (200 kg). You will arrive to your hotel or to the airport in Manaus around noon.
