Pousada Aquarela is located in the city of Morro de Sao Paulo, which is situated on the beautiful island Ilha de Tinhare in the state of Bahia. The village center of Morro de Sao Paulo is only a few minutes walk away. The cozy Pousada Aquarela is surrounded by jungle and only about 330 feet (100 meters) away from the quiet sandy beach Porto de Cima and 2,600 feet (800 meters) from the popular beach Segunda Praia. The region is also known as Costa do Dende, because here the Dende oil is produced from oil palms. After only 1,300 feet (400 meters) you can reach the arrival and departure point of the boats, from where you can go to the mainland. The island is a true natural paradise and despite a relatively well developed tourist infrastructure, the nature and the tropical vegetation of the Ilha de Tinhare has been preserved.
