Itinerary
Day 1: Trip into the Atlantic Rainforest
Included: Transfer (private, 2.5h) | Nature Hike (private, 2h) | Lunch, Dinner
In the morning, your Portuguese-speaking driver will pick you up at the airport or from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro for your private transfer to Eco Lodge Itororo in Nova Friburgo.
Upon arrival, your English-speaking guide will welcome you with fresh-squeezed juice and you will have some down time. Together with your guide you will gain your first impressions of the Atlantic Rainforest during a nature hike. The day will end with a typical Brazilian dinner in the evening.
Overnight: Eco Lodge Itororo, Standard room
Day 2: Hike on Porcelet Mountain
Included: Nature Hike (4h) | Breakfast, Lunch Box, Dinner
After a delicious breakfast you will start your hike to the top of Porcelet Mountain, where you can admire the breathtaking views of the Tres Picos State Park with its wonderful mountain range. You will return to the lodge in the early afternoon, at which point you can enjoy some leisure time at the natural pool, take a walk in the orchid garden, or just relax in a hammock. After dinner you can reflect on this adventurous day while enjoying a bonfire.

Day 3: Hiking in the Atlantic Rainforest and Return to Rio de Janeiro

After breakfast you can take another hike through the Atlantic Rainforest to experience the lovely flora and fauna. All trails are well marked and can be explored without a guide.
This ecosystem is one of the most important on Earth with even more biodiversity than the Amazon region. It is estimated that there are around 130 different species of mammals in the Atlantic Rainforest, 180 species of amphibians, and over 800 species of birds. Among them are many unique and endangered plants and animals.
In the afternoon, your Portuguese-speaking driver will bring you back to Rio de Janeiro.
